Situated below the gaze of the Canigó mountain and the serene protection of the Mare de Déu del Mont Sanctuary, MASJONQUER is a unique combination of tradition and modernity.

This beautiful stately house is located 2kms away from the village of Vilanant, just minutes away from Figueres. Built in the seventeenth century, MASJONQUER has been completely renovated and modernized for your comfort in 2006 whilst retaining its original character.

Owned by the same family from the beginning of the 60s, MASJONQUER is a very special place in which one can fully enjoy the best of Empordà: sea, mountains, light, cuisine, culture and tradition, all of which is sometimes accompanied by the surprising and charming Tramontana (north wind).

Rooms
We have eight attractive and comfortable bedrooms combining tradition and modern design. They all have breathtaking views of the genuine Empordà landscape. One of the rooms is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities (pets are only allowed in this room).

Breakfast and More
If its cuisine is one of the great attractions of Empordà, breakfast in MASJONQUER shares this same vocation. A full breakfast combines the best local tradition with various international flavours, a unique combination only to be tasted in MASJONQUER.

Dining at MASJONQUER is optional and consists of a menu based on the family culinary tradition.

Facilities
The ground floor of MASJONQUER includes a comfortable lounge and two dining rooms.

Guests are welcome to use the gardens of the family house, Can Prat, a perfect setting to enjoy this quiet oasis of peace and beauty created in the 60s.

Swimming in summer, tennis, pentanca and other outdoor activities can be practiced within the different areas of MASJONQUER.

It consists of an 18 hole championship course with a 9 hole par 3 course.
