This historic hotel is located in the picturesque town of Troon. It is the oldest licensed building in Troon dating back to 1812. excellent road and rail links mean the hotel is centrally located only a 10 minute drive to Prestwick airport & 40 minutes to Glasgow.

 
Troon is very well known for golf and in 1901 the hotel was was a meeting point for golfers before boarding the horse drawn carriage to Royal Troon.

 
To this day the hotel still holds that tradition of all those years ago. With golfers from all over the world meeting before and after a round.

 
This early 19th century hotel is the perfect base for enjoying the 20 challenging golf courses situated in the area.

Our Hotel is centrally located in the picturesque town of Troon. We are 10 minutes drive from Prestwick Airport and 30 minutes from the city of Glasgow. The P&O ferry terminal and local train station are a short walk from our hotel, with the train station offering excellent rail links.

Our hotel has 19 en-suite rooms with some of our rooms able to accommodate a family of 5.

All rooms are equipped with colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and have the use of ironing facilities. Rooms with an excellent sea view are available on request.

Our warm and welcoming bar is the perfect place to relax with a drink or enjoy a freshly prepared meal.

We have an extensive menu to suit all tastes - children are welcome in the bar area, a special menu as been created for children.

If you are planning a meal for a special occasion our private dining room can accommodate a table for up to 40 guests.

The bar area is very popular with locals and visitors alike and our staff take pride in giving excellent service. All major live sporting events are shown on large plasma screens throughout the bar area.

In the summer months our large newly landscaped beer garden is a great place to meet with friends for a meal and a few relaxing drinks.

Golf:

Ayrshire is an ideal place for a get away for the keen golfer with twenty challenging courses in the area. With troon holding six of these courses . 

The town is indeed a 'golfer's paradise and with excellent long light from spring to autumn golfers can comfortably play two rounds per day.

Close to our hotel you will find Royal Troon Golf Club, host of the Open Championship eight times, the most recent in 2004 where Todd Hamilton emerged victorious after a four-hole play-off with Ernie Els. the nearby town of Prestwick boasts the world famous 'Old Prestwick' course, home of the very first Open in 1851.

Troon has courses to suit beginners, amateurs and professionals alike.
